Adventures in Paris. I can see why people make such a big fuss about Paris, it really is a magical place. I would love to speak french, well once I can speak dutch without scaring people. We decided to go for a few days while the kids were on their summer break. We stayed in the tiniest flat close to the Eiffel tower, it stank of fish and we were boiling hot with no air conditioning, but I could care less, I was in PARIS!!
We decided to go by car, it's only a 5 hour drive and seemed do-able with two kiddies, it gave us a chance to see a bit more of NL, Belgium and France as we made our way to Paris.
The first day we spent most of the day at the Louvre, we couldn't visit all of the beautiful art, it would take weeks if you want to stop and see all of the artwork. The second day we spent at the Eiffel tower, the tower is 324 metres high, about the same height as an 81-storey building, so Bruce decided to take the kids to the top and I decided to appreciate it's splendor from the ground up!!
I, yet again won worst mother of the year award, since I forgot to pack extra shoes for the kids, so they did Paris in their flip-flops. They really enjoyed seeing all of the museums and monuments from the hop-on-hop-off bus, they were super exhausted by the evening and every night ended with dinner in some street cafe before we carried them back home.
So here are a few of the photos I took (:
